Xiaomi has unveiled its latest flagship smartphones, the Mi 14 and Mi 14 Pro, in China on October 27th. These are the first phones to feature the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which promises faster performance, better AI capabilities, and improved power efficiency. The Mi 14 and Mi 14 Pro also come with Xiaomi’s new HyperOS software, which replaces MIUI and offers a more streamlined and customizable user experience.
The Mi 14 and Mi 14 Pro have similar designs, with curved edges, a large square-shaped camera module at the back, and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera on the front. Both phones have AMOLED displays with variable refresh rates up to 120Hz, but the Mi 14 Pro has a larger and sharper screen at 6.73 inches and 2K resolution, while the Mi 14 has a 6.36-inch screen with FHD+ resolution.
The camera department is where the Mi 14 and Mi 14 Pro are almost the same, except 1024 steps variable aparature in the main camera in Mi 14 Pro. They both boasts Leica-branded cameras, including a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra wide-angle lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens. The phones also have a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies.
Both phones have impressive battery capacities and charging speeds. The Mi 14 Pro packs a 4,880mAh battery with 120W fast charging support and 50W wireless charging support. The Mi 14 has a slightly smaller battery at 4,600mAh, but still supports 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Both phones also have reverse wireless charging at 10W.
The Mi 14 and Mi 14 Pro are available for pre-order in China starting from October 27th, while sales will begin on October 31st. The prices range from CNY 3,999 (approx. Rs.45,500) to CNY5,999 (approx. Rs.68,300) depending on the variants.
